First Vintage – 2023

2023 was the first Rosa Glen Farm vintage and the first year of conversion to Biodynamic practices.

Rainfall continued into the late spring along with cooler temperatures and budburst occurred in mid to late October. Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon were picked in early March using a combination of hand and machine harvesting. A small parcel of Cabernet Sauvignon was hand picked with low sugar for Rosé with the old Cabernet Sauvignon vines harvested on April 1 with medium sugar content.

The 2023 wines were made using minimal intervention techniques, producing natural wines that reflect the unique Rosa Glen Farm site. The 2023 vintage is diverse in taste and ranges from the well balanced acidity and citrus notes of the Lotus Flower Sauvignon Blanc, the brash Isla in the Sun Sparkling Rose, the classic oaky Honey Bones Semillon, the skin contact On the Beach and the old vine Cabernet Sauvignon, The Prussian.

The 2023 wines were made with the help of our local community and our shared vision for biodynamic and natural wines that touch the earth lightly.
