Our Wine
We produce incredible artisanal wines in small batches that are sustainably made and reflect the seasonal conditions of mother nature.
Rosa Glen Farm stands strong to reject the approach of mass production in wines, taking a minimal intervention approach with the ethos to exist and thrive in harmony with the surrounding natural world.
Our goal is to become a small scale producer of unique wines that reflect the site and the vintage – wines that are naturally made with minimal intervention. We are not into trends. We make the wines we like to drink that also reflect our soils and farming principles.
Our Place
Located in Rosa Glen, SE of Margaret River, the property is 33Ha and was planted in 1978, making it home to some of the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the Southern Margaret River region.
Plantings of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc can also be found on the property. In addition to the established vineyard, the picturesque farm features pasture paddocks, a remnant woodland and a large dam.
Staying true to the ‘naturally made with minimal intervention’ ethos, Rosa Glen Farm is operated biodynamically, where the farm is treated as a single living system, striving for balance with Mother Nature.
We follow the Earth’s cycles and are guided by the subtle day to day changes in our vines, crops and animals. From the moment we took the keys to the property we have not used any chemical sprays and fertilisers which has been challenging at times given the age of our vines and the previous conventional viticultural management.
Rosa Glen Farm is home to a collaborative and creative community where ideas about farming and winemaking are shared, wine and music is enjoyed and bespoke events bring community together.
Music and Wine
Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, “Music and Wine are one.” Both are imagined, crafted, rich, unique, made, sensory experiences, and can be enjoyed either alone or with others for pleasure.
Rosa Glen Farm lives and breathes for both Music and Wine, a perfect pairing. From life lived in the world of music, to the noted sounds found and experienced on the vineyard, to wine names inspired by favourite tracks, music and wine are the inseparable partnership of Rosa Glen Farm.
The ancient Greeks’ believed that the goodness of what we consume can be positively affected by the intentional vibrations of song and love. We just know it makes the experience better. And really, at the end of day, a nice glass of wine enjoyed while listening to your favourite album, maybe with someone dear, is one of the simple sweetnesses of life. One of life’s Simple Pleasures.
