THE SOUNDS VOL.1 MICHELLE TROOP

Since we moved to our farm just near a little town we call Witchy, we have met some incredibly talented people. Behind the sleepy doors lay some serious artistic talent that we have come to admire.

Just a few months into living here, I stumbled upon this cute shop called "The Shed Witchcliffe" full of herbal oils, salves, tinctures, teas, herbs and interesting gifts. From what I remember I purchased some salves and a photograph. A few weeks later I realised that Michelle had taken it, it was a beautiful photo of a girl in a field running into the bush in a softly lit sky. Out of curiousity I asked if she could help with taking photos on our farm, and the rest is history.

I love Michelle's photography but she is just one of those people that can create almost anything. We have admired all her work and I love to visit her shop at least once per week to see what's new and have a chat.

So we asked Michelle if she could be one of our first guests on 'The Sounds'. I was stuck for questions to ask as we wanted something a bit more meaningful. We wanted to get to know what music inspires her.

Here it goes...

1. A Song that you listen to at work?

I love listening to Agnes Obel at work. I saw her live in Perth and I think she's a great artist for the building I'm in. One Song...maybe "The Curse (Berlin Live session)"

2. A Song for a Saturday Night?

Gotts Street Park - 'Tell Me Why' feat. Olive Jones

3. A Song that gets you dancing?

An early starter song might be B.P.E by anaiis & Grupo Cosmo

And lastly..

4. If you started a band what would your band name be and why?

hmm I'd probably want to be a singer in either a Punk or a big Soul/ Funk band. Naming things is hard!  Ummmm... Petrichor.  Sounds like a heavy metal band haha

love Mishe x
