Spring In The Vineyard - Budburst

With the arrival of spring comes budburst, when the vines wake up from their winter
hibernation and the start of the growing season kicks into gear. In the weeks leading up to budburst, we are filled with anticipation, what will this season bring and how healthy are the vines after the winter?

This spring is particularly special for Rosa Glen Farm as it’s the first spring that our grafted Gamay block will start to shoot. We’ve spent the last 10 months carefully nurturing these vines, including hand watering through last years hot summer and training in the new canes up to the trellis wires. Now as the gamay buds come alive we can see the results of this hardwork. We look forward to seeing the growth in the Gamay vines over the next three months.
